Lisa Sheppard
Sangamon Valley CEO's Facilitator
Lisa Sheppard is a graduate of Iowa State University with a Degree in Interior Design. She is currently a freelance interior designer. Lisa is married to Marc and they have five children, Drew 15, Adison 12, Anya 10, Luke 8 & Brix 8. They have lived in Monticello, Illinois for the last 6 years and she enjoys the juxtaposition of small towns and the business opportunities they create. Lisa serves on the board at Monticello Main Street.
Lisa has a passion for the business of design and the creative process from ideation to product or service. Before graduating, she took the position of student director at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames, IA, where she developed a youth leadership team. The importance of empowering youth to involve themselves in the learning process, giving them the opportunity to engage with mentors and local business professionals is what drew her to the Sangamon Valley CEO program.
Lisa believes in the mission and values of CEO. It is an incubator for creative thought and creates a safe and empowering environment for vocational, entrepreneurial and college bound students. It is the program so many of us with existed when we were students. Students will get to interact with many types of local businesses and more importantly, their founders and those who run the day to day operations that help our communities thrive.
I am excited to work with the Sangamon Valley CEO Investors, board and students to create an experiential learning environment.
