Measuring CEO's Impact
CEO changes how students see themselves, their futures, and the communities around them. Through annual reporting, student feedback, alumni stories, and program data, this page shares the growth, confidence, career awareness, and community connection created through the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship network.
Student Growth
& Impact
CEO gives students room to grow in ways that extend far beyond business knowledge. Throughout the year, students build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and learn how to carry themselves in professional settings. Many students describe the experience as a turning point, helping them step outside their comfort zones, speak with more confidence, and begin seeing themselves as leaders.
- Students cited confidence, public speaking, and professional communication as key areas of personal growth.
- Testimonials highlighted transformation from shyness to leadership, with students learning to step out of their comfort zones.

- 87% of students plan to attend college; 22% said CEO caused them to rethink their original career plans.

Career &
College Insights
CEO helps students connect what they are learning today with the decisions they will make after high school. Through business visits, guest speakers, mentor relationships, and real conversations with local professionals, students are exposed to career paths they may not have considered before. For many, the experience brings more clarity around college, work, entrepreneurship, and the kind of future they want to build.
Community connection
CEO helps students build a stronger connection to the businesses and leaders in their own communities. After meeting local owners, visiting real workplaces, and seeing how businesses shape the places they live, students are more likely to support local companies, recommend them to others, and imagine themselves working, building, or returning there in the future.
After CEO, students were more likely to:
- Become a customer of a local business (62%)
- Refer someone to a business (65%)
- See themselves working for a local business (59%)
- Reach out to a business for guidance on their own venture (39%)
