COLCHESTER - The West Prairie Board of Education voted to accept the curriculum provided by the Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program, an initiative aimed at training high school students to become entrepreneurs.
Legacy is something few founders think about until the ride is over. It's not that they don't care; it's that entrepreneurship means there's always another sale to make or fire to put out. So how can leaders make time to help the next generation?
About 16 students sat in the Hormel Historic Home, learning about the ins and outs of being an entrepreneur in the new Mower CEO Program. Having launched just this year, these high school students will be learning about investment, creating a business plan, and marketing strategies to help shape and build their own businesses.
